We are having our first bake sale this coming Saturday and are very excited, but also a little nervous…

Wir organisieren unseren ersten “bake sale” am kommenden Samstag und freuen uns, sind aber auch ein wenig nervös…

We wanted to keep our invitations simple, tried to keep the production cost low and we wanted it to be easy to make more than just a few. So we printed them with our own stamps. We made them out of cereal boxes and foam rubber. My goal in the near future is, to make some out of a carving block with linoleum cutters. I think the carving blocks are a lot softer than the linoleum itself. In the past I have carved some out of normal erasers, which also worked well, but it limits you in the size of the stamp.

Wir wollten, dass unsere Einladungen einfach sind, wollten die Produktionskosten niedrig halten und wollten auch, dass es unkompliziert ist, wenn auch mehrere davon produzieren werden sollen. So haben wir sie mit unseren eigenen Stempeln bedruckt. Diese haben wir aus Müslischachteln und Moosgummi hergestellt. Mein Ziel ist es, in der nahen Zukunft einen eigenen Stempel aus einem “carving block” mit Linoleumschnitzwerkzeug herzustellen. Ich glaube, dass der “carving block” weicher ist als Linoleum und es dann auch einfacher geht. Ich habe auch schon aus normalen Radiergummi geschnitzt, das ging auch sehr gut, aber da ist man von der Grösse her ein bisschen eingeschränkt. 

We found this book a the library and I think it was made with prints also. It is nicely designed and also the content is fun.

Wir habe dieses Buch in der Bibliothek gefunden und ich nehme an, dass auch mit Druck gearbeitet wurde. Ich mag die Umsetzung und finde es vom Inhalt her sehr ansprechend.
